Q&A with Edgile’s Managing Director, Bob Moore
The annual Microsoft Ignite conference kicks off Monday September 25th, hosting over 20,000 architects, developers, and executives. As a Microsoft partner since our founding in 2001—with official Gold Partner status, several of our experts named as Microsoft MVPs, and even writing core security code for Microsoft itself—we’re excited to share our latest innovative solutions and services.
At Ignite 2017, we’re proud to be showcasing a number of leading-edge solutions to empower Microsoft-centric enterprises with their cloud-based business transformation initiatives. To offer a preview, we asked Edgile Managing Director Bob Moore for a few insights into three of the top issues facing clients today.
Q: How does Edgile help clients develop a regulatory strategy for Office 365?
Bob Moore: Enterprise systems in the cloud require new business processes to ensure compliance. Firms run the risk of non-compliance with global data protection and regulatory requirements as they rollout their investment in Office 365. Edgile is uniquely expert in regulatory compliance, IT security and Microsoft technology. Our User Experience team, Architects and Compliance Professionals capture the vision for the modern worker at the firm then apply the technology, regulatory and security requirements. The result is a deployment plan that is accepted by all functional groups in the firm including security and compliance before the global rollout saving hundreds of thousands in potential rework and vastly more in potential fines.
Q: What does Edgile recommend for Azure security optimization?
Bob Moore: Firms deploying Azure and Office 365 require a new set of security controls for the cloud. While the security enabled by these solutions is greater than what is being achieved by any firm alone, there are numerous security components, alerts, and dashboards that require expert Azure security professional to ensure full coverage and monitoring. Edgile security experts fully understand Azure security capabilities, Office 365 (and Windows 10), and we understand how to integrate these components into the global security system.
Q: How does Azure help clients accelerate the speed of business?
Bob Moore: The Azure platform has changed the acquisition and deployment approach of Microsoft centric firms. Forward thinking executives are now looking for the fastest deployment approach to realize value from the full suite. Edgile has innovative approaches that accelerate time to value using modules and patterns developed over numerous engagements including unstructured data management and application attestation using SailPoint solutions.
