AUSTIN, TX—June 2, 2021—Edgile, the leading cyber risk and regulatory compliance firm, today announced the hiring of Rob Marti as Managing Director in Edgile’s healthcare cybersecurity group. Marti previously served as a healthcare security information officer and a national Healthcare Strategist with VMware.

Previously, Marti was an Edgile client. He experienced how Edgile’s strategy-first approach accelerated program success in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC). “Risk management and information security programs are typically complex, with a broad reach across the organization, meaning it’s critical to have the right partner to refine the strategy and navigate associated organizational change management activities,” said Marti. “Edgile’s blend of technology implementation and managed services, along with their leadership position in cybersecurity and risk management, gives them an edge in addressing the security challenges faced by nearly every type of business today.”

Marti is a former healthcare information security officer. In his previous position as a Healthcare Strategist for VMware, Marti leveraged his industry knowledge and experience to work with executive teams, internal business units, and VMware’s partner ecosystem. His work supported the alignment of people, process and technology with the goal of improving patient outcomes while managing overall expenses and risk.
Before joining VMware, Marti served as Information Security Officer and Chief Technology Officer for INTEGRIS Health. He was responsible for developing the Information Security program strategy and approach which included accountability for the typical security domain as well as the Project Management Office and Service Management Office. In addition, Marti oversaw IT strategy, application delivery, and IT operations.
