COMPANIES TO GAIN EFFICIENCIES IN COST, EXPERTISE AND STAFFING

Edgile Hires Mike Peckenschneider to Lead National Practice

AUSTIN, Texas, Jun. 22, 2016 – Edgile, a leading security and risk consulting services firm, today announced that it has hired industry veteran Mike Peckenschneider to head the company’s new Managed Security Services practice. Customers can now engage Edgile’s expert staff to manage a portion or all of their day-to-day security, risk or identity management operations at a significantly reduced and more predictable cost than managing it in-house. With limited resources and a scarcity of qualified skillsets to navigate an increasingly complex environment, customers can leverage Edgile’s knowledgeable professionals to help move their company forward, while simultaneously making their organization more secure.

According to CIO.com, more organizations are turning over certain IT functions to managed service providers, freeing internal IT staff to focus on strategic projects critical to their core business.

“For years, customers have been asking us to extend our strategic consulting engagements to run and manage their day-to-day operations once their IAM or GRC projects have been deployed,” said Don Elledge, CEO of Edgile. “With Edgile Managed Security Services, customers no longer need to compete to hire the best security professionals in-house. Instead, we can continue as a trusted advisor, smoothly transitioning from design and deployment to day-to-day management.”

Mike Peckenschneider will be expanding the company’s service offering with the capability to seamlessly integrate with client teams onsite. He joins Edgile from SDG Corporation, where he was the Transformation Practice Leader. Prior to that, he led large internal technology organizations at both General Electric (GE) and Ceridian and has also held management consulting roles at Convergys and FIS.

“Mike combines entrepreneurial drive, consultative leadership style, and process excellence, with over 20 years of product and technology experience,” continued Elledge. “He is ideally suited to help grow our existing services portfolio and assist clients with their evolving security needs.”
