Edgile was founded in 2001 by former Big 4 leaders Don Elledge and Dean Fantham. As the digital revolution accelerated in the early 2000s, and enterprises became more vulnerable to internal and external threats, Edgile was among the first consulting firms to take a strategy-first, business-aligned approach to security. This helped to create—and then elevate—the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) role into a C-suite partner to better execute digital transformation strategies.
