AUSTIN, Texas, July 28, 2020 — Edgile’s proprietary regulatory content service has been rebranded as Automated Regulatory Compliance—ArC, for short. ArC delivers industry-specific compliance tracking through a growing suite of apps that offer enterprises a foundation for integrated risk and compliance management. ArC apps are natively available for ServiceNow IRM/GRC in the ServiceNow Store. ArC can also be used with legacy GRC systems outside of ServiceNow.
With its latest release, Edgile announced that 19 new or updated content sources have been added to the ArC compliance library. These updates make ArC the most actionable, harmonized and accurate compliance source for enterprises in the following 20regulated-industry verticals: Medical Device Manufacturer; Pharmaceutical Life Sciences; Healthcare Provider; Healthcare Provider + Research; Healthcare Payer; Healthcare Payer + Medicaid; Financial Services; Financial Services + Broker/Dealer; Property and Casualty; Property and Casualty + Life; Gaming; Utilities; Oil and Gas; Manufacturing; Technology; Retail; Government; Media; Transportation; and Real Estate.
This vertical segmentation is a game changing advantage of ArC. It makes it easy for compliance executives to quickly see regulations that impact only their business without being inundated by long lists of irrelevant rules.
“With massive business changes brought on by COVID-19, Fortune 500 executives are having to rethink business operations in record time. Huge numbers of new security holes are cropping up and that’s creating compliance nightmares,” said Edgile Partner David Deckter. “At the same time, states and governments across the globe continue to introduce new laws and evolve existing regulations to control privacy and security. Keeping up with these dynamic changes is next to impossible for most companies. This is why wecreated the Edgile ArC suite of apps and why we work hard to keep it continually updated, with changes analyzed for significance and likely impact.”
Edgile ArC reduces the regulatory burdens on businesses by automatically identifying and updating all applicable legal, statutory and regulatory requirements every quarter. Edgile’s professional services coupled with our risk methodology and risk assessment accelerators help clients successfully clear these recurring regulatory hurdles.
New ArC sources in this latest release are the result of changes to the California Consumer Privacy Act, NIST, NERC, ISO/IEC, HIPAA, AICPA, PTAC and the insurance data security acts of Virginia, Louisiana and Indiana. Updated sources address changes to the Washington, D.C. Security Breach Protection Amendment Act of 2019 as well as Vermont’s version of the same rule.
